Guard, wing or big picks which pool spins (about 180 guards, 180 wings, 156 bigs, plus six legends each) and how the sim shapes the stat line: guards pass, bigs board, wings score. The OVR math is identical for all three.

- Three seasons at 88+, four at 72+, five below.
- The same twelve decision events as College Football with basketball copy (College GameDay Mic, "Naismith buzz"), including Portal Season and the NIL bag.
- March Madness: seed = about 26 − 0.8 × wins − 14 × prestige, clamped 1 to 12. Six rounds, always: Round of 64, Round of 32, Sweet 16, Elite Eight, Final Four, National Championship. The title needs all six; four wins records a Final Four.
- Naismith Player of the Year: score = production + 0.28 × wins + 0.35 × (OVR − 88) + noise; win chance (score − 19.5) × 0.055, capped at 35%. No positional bonus, so a big who boards can win it.
- NIL: the same multipliers as football (Blue Blood × 1.7, Ivy × 0.55, POY × 3.2, title × 1.4).

Otherwise: POY × 28, title × 16, runner-up × 5, tournament wins × 1.2, Final Fours × 3, All-American × 9, conference titles × 4, points × 0.011, rebounds × 0.006, assists × 0.008, wins × 0.16. 58 is the line, ramping from 40. Tips
- The weights are the same for every position, so pick the pool with the best diamonds in the 1.2 slots. Guards for 3-Pointer and Playmaking, bigs for Finishing.
- Frame is 0.8, not 0.5. Unlike hockey, a legend big in Frame still pays; unlike the NBA game, it is not a jackpot slot.
- Six wins, no byes. Prestige only moves the seed; every title runs through the Round of 64. Clutch is the slot that survives a bracket.
- Bigs can win POY. There is no guard bonus in the formula; rebounds count in the legacy score.
